I was channel surfing on the radio yesterday on one of my multiple trips to the home improvement store and heard Judy Garland and Fred Astaire singing Easter Parade and remembered it has been eons since I had an Easter bonnet.  My mom always made certain we had a new Easter dress, patent leather shoes, and a new bonnet; once in a while white gloves to wear to Sunday School on Easter morning.  Today I didn’t wear a new dress or new shoes and no one wears bonnets any more but I did go to church and renewed my covenants with my Savior, Jesus Christ, as I took the sacrament and gave humble thanksgiving for his willing atonement, sacrifice, and resurrection for us, for me, and for which today we remember and honor Him. He was crucified, died, and was resurrected on the third day.  I may not see Him with my eyes but my heart knows that He lives; that I believe the testaments of the Apostles, Prophets, and ordinary people who did see Him, who ate with him, talked with him and touched the wounds in his hands and side. He lives, even now  on the right hand of God, as Stephen saw when the heavens opened before him and as the Prophet Joseph Smith testified of his vision of the living Christ and God the Father.  Yes, He lives.

  1. Keri I too, attended Church on Easter…and sang in the choir, “Beautiful Savior”. It was a very nice session, lots of inspirational talks, renewing our covenants, The Resurrection, the reason for the season.

  2. Priceless. And just when I thought the wonders of the Resurrection were coming clearer, here’s Keri with a sensitive new angle on it all. Thank you, my friend.
